Service 10/10: We ordered ahead and picked up, order was ready by the time we got there. Ordering ahead was super simple and easy to navigate. Mapo Tots 8.5/10: super crispy tots with lots of flavor! The ground pork had a nice kick to it, paired with the tofu and cheese. The flavors all worked out super well together! Defiently getting this item again. Spicy popcorn chicken 8.5/10: Ordered the dark meat and it was super juicy. I wish there was a little more crunch, I'm unsure if that was how it was or because our order was sitting for a little bit. I loved how they thought ahead and cut a corner off to allow appropriate ventilation to prevent the sogginess to settle in. Roasted oolong milk tea 6/10: I had super high hopes to try their milk tea but I was a little disappointed with how watered down it was. I realize that I got 50% sweet, but at other places when I order 50% sweet, I'm still able to taste the tea. I was also let down just because the person I ate here with got the same drink and theirs tasted different even though it was the same order. The boba tho, had the appropriate amount of softness and crunch!

Black sesame latte 4/5 - it was good but I wish the black sesame flavor was a bit stronger. Good drink if you like black sesame with no caffeine It was my first time back after trying their carrot matcha when they first opened. I think their drinks have gotten a lot better from what I hear.

Excellent teas, fast service and energetic vibes! From the classic teas to the more creative mixes (think carrot matcha latte), they do it all well. One of their drinks, the "LA Autumn" is a flavorful mix of peach puree, yuzu, lemon juice, Jin Xuan Oolong tea. It's listed under "seasonal", but here's to hoping they keep it on their rotation year round! The parking here can be very challenging, as it's a relatively small parking lot that serves all the stores in the plaza.

I don't have a reason why I never tried this place, I grew up watching Wong Fu Productions and seen all over social media when this place opened up about half a decade ago. I was around the area and figured why not. Surprisingly Phil happened to drop by the day I was there. Phil looks and sounds just like his videos, so nostalgic haha! BA-LA Matcha - guava shines through the matcha and everything paired well. Blueberry Matcha - blueberry puree gave it a nice texture. I would never think to pair blueberry with matcha but it was good. Blueberry lover's dream!

Whenever I go to Golden Deli, I have always seen Bopomofo, but there has always been a line and one time, I got excited because there was no line and they were having a private event. So, I knew that the when I went in the area one Saturday and there was only a small line, I knew I had to go. I have obviously seen Bopomofo all over YouTube and social media, but I wanted to make sure that it did not cloud my judgement. They have your usual teas and boba, but they seem to have some more unique ones. I opted for the matcha latte with boba. There is a decent sized seating area and waiting area. I will say that my drink order did take quite awhile even though there was not a ton of people, but I didn't mind the wait so much. The staff were also super nice. Once, I got the order, I confirmed that mine was with lactose free milk, but he was not 100% sure, so he did remake my drink very quickly. I appreciated the attention because I have gone to Starbucks and they have given me regular milk even though I asked for soy, which has not been good for my poor lactose stomach. The drink itself was really good. The drink itself was not super sweet and I really enjoyed the boba, which was fresh and chewy. Definitely one of my favorite boba shops of 2024. Next time, I come back, I will definitely want to try some of the snacks and other drinks, which looked really good.

During my trip here, I was super excited to try this spot. I ordered the strawberry corn milk, which was quite unique. I never had anything like this before. It was the perfect amount of sweetness from the corn and the strawberry puree. Overall, it was a solid drink that I would order again. I had to get the spicy walnut shrimp burger since I tried it during their Westgate mall pop up in 2022. It was exactly how I imagined it to taste like. Love at first bite. Wow. It was soo good that I came back the next day to get it again + try their spicy popcorn chicken. Service was super friendly and quick! I wished there was a location in the Bay Area!

I was craving a home-cooked meal, that was not cooked at home, so that landed me at the Heritage Lu Rou Rice after reading the description claiming that it uses Eric's Grandmother's recipe. I felt the love. It was a good balance of fatty and lean cuts of pork belly mixed with some shiitake mushrooms and pickled mustard greens to cut the fat. It also came with a perfectly jammy egg in the center which was delicious. I wish there was more of the meat though because I ended up with a lot of leftover rice. If the ratio of meat to rice was better, I would not hesitate to order this again.

Came back recently for the Thanksgiving break. The best part is now they do DoorDash which makes life a bit easier. You can't go wrong, food is good, drinks are great. I like coming back here because you can't get these types of drinks anywhere else. I come back for the creativity and there's always something new to try.
